On the evening of September 25, 2014, multiple calls were received by dispatch reporting unusual noises in the forested area of Old Pine Road. Witnesses described rhythmic chanting, drumming, and the sight of hooded figures carrying lanterns. Calls were logged from three separate households between 21:55 hrs and 22:10 hrs.
Units 14 and 22 arrived at 22:17 hrs and located a recently extinguished fire pit, surrounded by deep markings in the soil. Several symbols constructed of wood and twine were nailed to trees in a circular formation. The ground bore fresh footprints leading deeper into the wooded area. "The location had clear signs of organization and ritual intent. Witness statements collectively describe between 6–10 individuals in attendance, all in dark robes with lanterns. K9 Unit tracked scent trails toward the marshland but lost trace near water."
